hi all my bmw does not start got a mechanic in and he said that there is a signal going to the ecu to fire but none coming out from the ecu is this just a new ecu repair or is there further problems many thanks

same car as me mate.what colour is it?i'm sure somebody will be able to answer your question soon

Im not sure, but I dont think an ecu from a breakers would cost mega money

To replace the ECU has its own problems in that it has to be matched to the car by the stealer !

Could be a relay fault under the bonnet... Does the starter turn the engine?

if its within then ECU then yeah looks like an ECU problem......Could be that its not recognising the key and the immobilizer is stuck on
