Issues with my late1996 728i -

My headlamps come on by ignition to set themselves, turn off and come back on when they feel the urge (even with switch off) !!

Heater barely works until after about 4 or 5 miles !

Rev counter struggles, if it moves at all !!

Apart from the above it is a fantastic car/rocket - hahaha

hmmm a few probs then!

heater could be the thermostat?

rev counter could be dodgy sensor, poss the clocks themselves? id say its a sensor at a guess.

lights, maybe the switch is faulty?

a diagnostic check should reveal any probs in the system.

agree with andy, thermostat could be dodgy.. not to much to fix

i done mine a few months ago, cost me £65 if i remember right, but that was the housing aswell so on its own it should be alot less. easy enough to change to

.... And another niggle is that I can lower the osr window but not raise it, but it will raise using key fob !!!

Can I set things using the dash test system? Or will it be a laptop jobby?
