Just been pointed to this forum by a friend - andy-mcq - Loving the forum, and obviously my BMW's :rolleyes: Had 3 upto now, 330, X5, now back in a 330 ;)

Car is currently in the garage getting a few things done. A bit of body work on the front arches, the killer rust has got them, not for much longer though :P Also getting an oil service. Will get some pictures up after i've got it back and given it a good detail, it is way overdue a polish (by the way, I am OCD into my car cleaning :rolleyes: )

      Damper pulley

      TA for that Dave ....i had bring to main dealers yesterday for manf re call ...steering wheel airbag !!...and when i collected it they said they also done mechanical inspection and gave me a 'report sheet '...he pointed out remark on it which is just three words ''damper pulley cracked'' ...his phone rang and he walked off into another part of building ... drove it home the three or so miles but made me bit paranoid about using it now TA again

      Morning Mike Welcome to the Forum Bit confused your post says transmission fault yet you ask about key cutting?? Am I missing something as you say the car drives well If it is a new or spare key the simplest way is to contact your main dealer and part with some hard earned Dave

      Morning Steven First I take it you are working from lights on the dash you really do need a Diagnostic session to be sure of the Fault cause. From your description the fault could be the Junction Box/FRM (footwell control module) it controls many functions. You will need to change it if you can get the same part number it will be straight forward but you will need to match the mileage so note it before starting or you will get a tamper dot on the dash Dave
