Best I get out of my 2001 x5 3.0D auto IS 24 around the doors, 28-30 on motorways. I was thinking on removing the egr & bypassing it.

Would that make any difference to the consumption?.

MINE IS A 3.0 D SPORT ON A 53 PLATE, LIVE IN SOMERSET AND GO TO WALES EVERY 3 WEEKS.

DOES 28.5 MPG , WORST ITS BEEN WAS 22.9 MPG. I DO HAVE HEAVY WELLIES AT TIMES ,
