Hi all. I have just purchased an L reg 520 and was wondering if it has a cambelt or it was a chain. Any help gratefully recieved Thanks

    A quick look on google and couldnt find anything, im guessing its a chain driven one as my three series is

    if you ring up your local dealer and ask for parts , give them your reg asking your wondering when the chain/cambelt needs chainging they should let you no.

    I'm 99.9% sure its chain, I have never owned a BMW with a belt - not even on a 316i I had once.

    being the straight 6 that would take my percentage higher :lol:
