Welcome to the Forum

I have read that Hybrids have very restricted towing capacity so my first thought is I doubt that it will fit.

You really need to talk to a Specialist supplier or your Dealer (though the Dealer may not be much help if your planning DIY) From memory BMW OEM suppliers were/are Oris and Westfalia
