So last week the drl bulb had blown so changed it for the Correct one ( I own a bmw 1 series 2013 plate)  it’s still throwing up a fault tho any other help would be much appreciated..

Welcome to the Forum

You say you changed the bulb for the "Correct one" so you brought it from a BMW Dealer ? If not then it is possible that you have the correct type of bulb but if it is LED it may not have a ballast resistor fitted.

If the bulb is correct then check carefully the wiring in particular the Earth
