Hi everyone.  I have a 2021 BMW 116D M Sport F40 and I think it is using too much diesel.  I used to get 47 mpg now it is 41.9 mpg.  Only myself and a small dog are traveling in the car.  Not luggage etc.  I don't speed.  Why is my fuel consumption so low?

Morning Dennis

Have you changed where you fill up? My X5 3.0d was averaging 28/29 around town short journeys then a new filling station opened close to home so I started using it and over a month or two noticed a drop in MPG, same fuel supplier. The only thing that made sense to me was pump calibration? An argument I lost with the station owners by the way so guess where I fill up now

I am assuming here that the car has no faults and is fully serviced

Hi,

I just use service stations like Tesco etc, sometimes Sainburies.  The car has full service the last by BMW York

Me too Dave.  All the best for the season and hope we all get cheaper fuel, light shoes, and a lighter right foot!  LOL!
