hi,

     has anyone had problems with this pipe fitted from factory, it has been recalled in north america, because pipe is substandard/faulty,  read north america service bulletin SIB 17 01 21 05/04/2022,  this broke on my 2018 bmw 420i msport xdrive gran coupe, only 29000 miles full bmw service history, the replacement pipe fitted by bmw at cost of £399 was exactly the same part number as replaced pipe in north america on recalled cars, bmw says it is not the same pipe, even though on usa photos youtube pipe part numbers are exactly the same, pipe fits in exactly the same place on engines in both countries. bmw will not move on giving refund on the replacement pipe fitted. still in dispute.

Over the years there have been quite a few instances like this all I can do is advise gain as much evidence from both sides of the Atlantic. The law in the USA is stronger with the possibility of a Class action so all manufacturers tend to use recalls to protect themselves.

If you can find enough victims here and in Europe try Rogue Traders BMW have been there before sadly
