Hi I need help with my X5, just had a load of work done on my car and there is a burning smell and a little smoke coming from back of engine, I have had my rocker cover replaced but I think they didn't actually do it. Any ideas on what it could be

Morning Billy

Welcome to the Forum

What ever the cause it needs investigation smoke and burning isn't right. Have you spoken to the Garage ?

It certainly would appear the gasket isn't seated at the rear of your engine
