7 series sky lounge shade will not retract

Hi all,

 

I have a 2019 7 series, hardly used. The rear roof shade will not retract. Any advice out there? Much appreciated.

    As your car is 2019 it should be covered by BMW's Warranty so your local Dealer should be a starting point

    Thank you for your input. I thought there may be something I can do to reset instead of taking it to BMW. I will give them a call.

    In case anyone else has this problem, here here a way to fix the problem.

     

    After reading the user manual thoroughly. I used the sun roof initialization method.

    As per instruction the outside temperature has to be above 5⁰c. Press and hold the open vent button for your roof until it initialises. This will close the vent, open the roof and the rear shade, close everything again (front and back). Initialisation is now complete and everything should be in working order.
