Hi there I just bought a new 640d 15 I was wondering how would I get the wing mirrors to go in with key fob and also where can I get a cheap owners manual from

Also is there any bad points to look out for I've just traded my Audi a7 black edition bitdi in for it but now is amazing with spec I've got

I will try to answer your points in reverse order

1. On a 5 year old car with a solid history I wouldn't foresee any serious issues. The engine is one of the worlds great engines, the tried and tested drive train is like wise solid but both need proper servicing. All modern cars are reliant on complicated electronics so my advice is get a good BMW specific code reader you will be amazed at what you can achieve.

2. When you say owners manual do you mean the book pack which comes with the car? Or a workshop manual? If it is the Book Pack I would try Ebay or similar.

    Web sites that will help are www.realoem.com This is an online Parts list for all BMW models just put the last 7 digits of your Vin number into the search box and it will bring up your model. Invaluable when buying parts.

www.newtis.info this is a BMW online Technical information site if you wish to do DIY then this is a great help. 

As mentioned above a BMW specific code reader is essential for DIY plus you can code the mirrors etc (normally tick box) if they are fitted which a Dealer will charge ££££ to do
