Hi all.

sorry if this has been done before.

i would like another key for the x5. 
I have been quoted around £150 all programmed and cut, I didn’t think it was too bad....

secondly, can I have the individual keys set for seat position etc. 
my wife is a fair bit shorter than me and uses setting #1....

I get in and have to press #3 and wait a few seconds till the car goes to my settings. 
can we code the keys to select our settings on pressing the unlock button? 
I have the bmw 1.4.0 software and can talk to the ecu. 
thanks! 
 The key is the older diamond shape, the car is e53 2002 x5

    There are some excellent guides of how to program your keys Google and You Tube are your friends. As for source and cost Don't dismiss BMW all your dealer needs is your Key and your V5 as proof of ownership you may be surprised at the cost.

    As for seat settings and the key I have a 2003 X5 and it has never worked for me, it did in the Merc's and the Volvo's though.I haven't had a good look in 1.4.0 to see if I can change the setting worth having a look I guess
