Hi everyone I have a 2012 640D F12 convertible and had to replace the battery removed old one without problem and shut the boot lid I imagine you know the rest of the story, I have connected a battery using jump leads under the bonnet makes no difference at all also I was told some have a key slot behind the boot emblem mine has not, can someone please advise there must be a way into the boot without power or causing damage many thanks a

Hi everyone and thank you for your replies I am awaiting delivery of a new battery as this one is only showing 11.5 volts and it is charging at 15+ amps so hoprfully that is problem solved

Hi everyone 2012 F12 640D I unlocked the car to use, engine would not crank and I get a message saying do not switch off engine ignition fault the engine will not crank to start any ideas anyone please I will attempt to read codes in the morning

Hi again everyone I have been absent for approx 8 years but have now returned to the fold with a 2008 E61 520D touring which has come to me with 1 key green log book slip and MOT and 152k on the clock so as you can imagine I need to get to grips with it, my question is can anyone recommend a reasonably priced BMW specific diagnostic software system with the correct cable that is also simple to use as I am no tech whizz kid, I have looked on ebay and there are thousands advertised but most look to be absolutely lacking in after sales support which with my technical experience is a must many thanks Chris
