Before you get carried away have a look underneath the rear it may be that a previous owner changed the suspension to coil springs (not un-common) then turned off the warning. If you are still on the air suspension then it will likely be one of the ride height sensors, they are often put back incorrectly and cause the warning.

Belt tensioner's are likewise often not installed correctly and will allow a squeal under load changing them wont break the bank just needs sockets and skinless knuckles !!
