I have a problem with my 1989 E30 - the dipped beam on the passenger side is dim - only 5.2v - absolutely everything else works fine.  Is this something anyone else has come across before?  Loath to pay out for assistance if I can sort it myself!!!  Thanks.

Hi Paul...welcome to the Forum

I can only imagine it is a poor electrical connection due to corrosion on the terminals or it is a poor earth connection.

You could try running a substitute earth to the bulb connection (earth terminal) to see if that improves the voltage.

If not, then check the electrical connections on the N/S

Let us know how you get on with it

Cheers  Trevor
