I'm back to BMW ownership after a few years on the "dark side" (Mercedes!)

My last BMW was an E36 M3 Evo convertible which I loved, but finally it was replaced by an SLK.

Collecting a black X1 M-sport on Monday. I've been wanting one for a couple of years - I like the elevated driving position, the seats, the dash and if I know that BMW are rewarding to drive with lots of "feel" and driver feedback.

Looking forward to "Road Trip" in July, driving around the lower half of the UK and staying in a few different places - starting in Llangollen (canal & railway), Telford (Blists Hill museum), Barry Island (because I'm a Gavin & Stacey fan), Southampton (for a short cruise break), Lymington (Beaulieu), Isle of Wight and finally Milton Keynes (Bletchley Park) so that should be a few nice journeys...

Don't ask me anything technical though - the bonnet stays firmly shut to me!
