Hi Guys, I had to get into the inside of the drivers door, so removed all the trim as usual, put it back together and all seemed fine. However, when i went to lock the car, all the other door locked from the key except the drivers door, coincidence??, could i have knocked something off, is the a wire somewhere i should know about?

Any help gratefully rec'd.

Rich

Best idea is to remove the trim and check the connections, either a rod to the actuator or a mis-fitted plug!

Guys\Jack, sorted, before i saw your post Jack, (you were on the right lines) i had been reading posts on lots of other sites with similar problems. it all has something to do with a Hall Effect Sensor. it detects the door open and stops you from locking it, trouble is when you shut the door it still thinks its open so wont operate the lock/unlock , Fix is simple. remove the 3 connectors from the switch bank on the door for the windows and mirrors, and push them back in and out and in etc and hey presto, it will suddenly start working, then dont touch it and put it all back.

Thanks

Rich

Yep... I cannot stress enough to people that if any connector hasn't been "stirred" for years then it could well have developed a poor or "dry" connection !!!

Happy days :D
