Boot Lid Sensor Removal

Hi,

Is it possible to disconnect or disable the boot lid sensor? Had a catastrophic electrical problem with the boot lid switch / central locking and removed the dead electrics, and I'm not intending to replace them - but the dash diagram has the boot lid open warning constantly on as a result.

Cheers

If the wiring is still there (you haven't hacked it out) then join two together until the light goes out (leave them joined)!

The switch/sensor creates the connection for the computer to read its state ;)
