Probably condensation from the aircon drain. Should be a clear liquid as its just water though.

I had already included this site on my own website before I bought a BMW. So I must have Googled it when building the site.

Mine works a treat. Its exactly the same system that was in my 11 plate Focus which worked really well. Maybe it doesn't like the Yorkshire accent :lol:

Before people start suggesting some expensive fixes I suggest you try changing the pressure cap on the coolant expansion tank. If the cap isn't holding the pressure the coolant will boil at a lower temperature. Whilst under pressure the coolant can take a higher temperature before it starts to boil. You can guarantee most garages will check the pressure in the system but hardly ever check the cap which holds the pressure in the system.

Its a consumable part which should be changed regularly anyway. Good luck with it.

If you like a hard ride then the M Sport is certainly that. I like it but I do find that the car has a tendency to take off on a really uneven surface at motorway speeds. With the larger alloys and lowered suspension it does look good.

They are scum. Probably from the South Essex area or even East London. You can only put it down to a distinct lack of intelligence otherwise why would people do this sort of thing.

It could be as simple as the garage not reconnecting the battery properly. I would start there as that is the ssimplest and cheapest possibility.

Have you tried eBay? Its my first port of call for most things.

Hi Jen. I am enjoying the Beemer. The big doors make parking a bit of an operation and I have had to re-organise my garage just so I can get in and out of it which is a squeeze. Ihave learned to avoid potholes as the M Sport doesn't have the most subtle suspension system.

I love the smooth drive, the quietness of the thing. There are no rattles or noises that shouldn't be there which is a novelty.

Worst car was probably a Rover 800 Vitesse Sport Lux. Lovely drive, really comfortable but when it costs nearly £2000 to have a headgasket replaced by a Rover Dealer you soon loose interest. Best car is a toss up between a 1987 XR3i that was specced up in Ford Rally Sport colours, RS Turbo body kit and a few tuning mods and a Nissan Sylvia Turbo which I also owned in the 90's. Also had an Alfa 156 Sportwagon that was a blast to drive.

Being new to this forum I have only just seen this. Before spending any money on cooling systems, always try changing the pressure cap first. If its not holding the pressure it will give you the same symptoms you are experiencing.
