  1. I have just treated the car to the PermaSeal treatment found here:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Professional-10-YEAR-PTFE-CAR-WAX-POLISH-SPECIALIST-POLISH-PROTECTION-and-SHINE-/121345052503?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item1c40ba8f57

Now, I don't believe for a minute that it will last 10 years, however I have used this stuff on my previous 2 cars and have found it good for at least 3 years.

I was offered the Supaguard Treatment for £250 when I bought my last Focus and the one before but knowing I could buy the kit myself for £10 I decided to do it myself. I found the Supaguard Treatment only lasted for 6 months on the paintwork but the wheel treatment and interior guard sprays worked much better. The PermaSeal is far superior in my mind. The only downside is you have to wax and buff the car twice, so is fairly time consuming.

I also sealed the wheels with some Autoglym Wheel Sealer. Never tried this stuff before so I hope it lasts a good while.

I would upload some pictures but keep getting an error for some reason.

  2. I must admit it does make me emotional sometimes. Then I think about what the vocal coaching is costing me. You ought to check out her vocal coach though. She is so cool. Katy Jackson, she is the lead singer for a band called The Hype Theory. They have a couple of albums out and have just released a new acoustic EP.

  3. Hiya everyone, hows things? any of you been up to much?

Hi Claire. Not done much on the car apart from clean it. I am going to PermaSeal the bodywork in the next few weeks which I have done on the last few cars. Why pay a dealer £250 to treat it when for £20 you can do a far better and longer lasting job.

Also my 17 year old daughter has made it through to the next level of auditions for the Voice. So are now waiting on a date towards the end of June to go up to London. I need to push her to put something together and practice but she is in the middle of AS exams at the moment.

  4. As long as you can locate where the issue is you should be able to tell if it is accessible or not and how easy it is to fix. The fact that you keep topping it up suggests the coolant is coming out somewhere, so should be easy to locate, however if it is just a split hose I would have thought a good indy garage would sort it fairly cheaply.

  5. That's a shame. It looks like they are supposed to be lifetime sealed but it appears that they should have the oil changed fairly regularly. It also looks like M3 and hard driven manual versions suffer most.
