  1. Hi Rick...welcome to the Forum Certainly looks the part....I think the wraps should totally enhance it and look forward to seeing the pics Cheers Trevor
  2. Yes, it shows a small amount of smoke at idle, which as Greydog has stated may be caused by EGR and vacuum hoses, etc but if oil/excess fuel is being burnt then if it's coming out of the exhaust then it should be measurable. Any garage with an MOT station should be able to carry out a 4-gas & Lambda test and give you a print-out of the results. Also, as Greydog has mentioned, running cleaner in the fuel to clean through the engine along with a good blast will almost certainly improved things
  3. It doesn't look it but I would still test the emissions to be sure
  4. lol....also love the justification for the V8 as well
  5. Here are the results from the Survey http://www.drivn.co.uk/tyre-brand-survey/
  6. HI Lauren....welcome to the Forum I think the best bet would be to measure the exhaust emissions to check for HC levels (unburnt fuel/oil particles) and also CO & O2 levels which would show if the oxygen levels are correct and not overfuelling. Any MOT station should be able to do this test (pre-mot emissions test) for you with a print out which you could post up on here. Cheers Trevor
  7. Hi Mike.....welcome to the Forum Not sure where there are handbooks as such but it may be worth scouring through the forum for downloaded copies Cheers Trevor
  8. Hi Steve...welcome to the Forum Sorry, can't help with question number 1 Question number 2 does sound very much like the fluid level is low and that would be a good place to start Keep us updated on how you get on Cheers Trevor
  9. Hi Alastair....welcome to the Forum I would not take any chances especially with steering and take it to a reputable garage who can check it out. Chances are it's just a bush that's broken up and allowing excess play in the steering. Keep us updated on the progress Cheers Trevor
  10. Hi Jerry I would fit NGK plugs but cheap coils are not the best way to go as you may introduce faults with poor quality parts. Best wait for the good weather then...along with the rest of us :-( Cheers Trevor
  11. Hi Nathan...welcome to the Forum Seems quick enough...was fixated on watching the fuel gauge dropping on acceleration Cheers Trevor
  12. Hi Fraser...welcome to the Forum Fine looking car ! Cheers Trevor
  13. Hi Shane Sounds like either air or slight blockage in the heater hoses....best bet is to feel the hoses and see if they are cooler than they should be. Let us know how you get on Cheers Trevor
  14. Not sure that it's not supposed to only go to there...my Z3 stops short of the top of the screen and you have to then pull it down the last bit and secure it.
  15. Not as yet...maybe in the near future though
  16. Probably best to avoid Bio-Fuel at the moment as it has a history of causing issues with engine damage due to excessively high Ethanol content (5% in the UK but 10% in Europe) They have used it in motorsport for some time now but those engines are designed for it whereas currently I would say the engines weren't designed for running Bio primarily.
  17. Hi Tim...welcome to the Forum Hope you find the grill covers and pop up a photo of them when you get them Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi Kev....welcome to the Forum Great looking Beemer, enjoy! Cheers Trevor
  19. Hi John...welcome to the Forum Would be great to see some photos of the M3 when you get it Cheers Trevor
  20. Hi Rob....welcome to the Forum That's a fine looking convertible, and in superb condition by the look of it. Good to have you onboard Cheers Trevor

  22. Measuring the oxygen can diagnose whether you have a vacuum leak on the inlet / air leak on the exhaust which could be the reason for the O2 sensor going out of range and the fuel trim dropping off due to the O2 sensor reading.
  23. would be worth measuring the exhaust emissions for oxygen content around the cruise speed range to see if there is excess O2 in the readings
  24. It's worth starting at the rear where the fault lies and work back from there. Also, check for anywhere that water could have entered the electrics, etc and specifically at electrical connections being corroded
