I'll be interested in this thread as the Mrs compact has got a few superglue runs on the passenger door from when the previous owner tried to delock the door and !Removed! it up and glued the handle plate back on....I have since done it properly but the glue is still there :(

I have the same problem with mine on and off,ive found that if you give the motor a few whacks with a hammer itll free itself and start working again :) Not a permanant fix but defo the cheapest one,lol
Keep it and do the repairs,the fan is a simple problem,you just need to change the viscous fan coupling,windows are cheap from a scrappy and so will locks be !!
Noob = Paul has got a long way to go to catch our post count,lol
