E36 318Is Strange Whining....... Fuel Pump?
Well it would be good in a way if it is as I'm just waiting for my input flanges to turn up and my new diff is going in :). On another note I'm trying to look into some power flex diff bushes. Thought it would be a good idea to do while I'm swapping the diff. But as I'm still new to the BMW I'm not sure what one's I need. Can only seem to find compact diff bushes and the power flex website confuzzles me lol. Any help would be much appreciated.

E36 318Is Strange Whining....... Fuel Pump?
Spirited..... I like that haha. But when I accelerate even the slightest amount in 5th it stops or if I'm completely off the accelerator it doesn't do it. Could this still be the diff?

E36 318Is Strange Whining....... Fuel Pump?
Hi guys, I always had a it of a whining noise coming from somewhere behind me when only just touching the accelerator in 5th a 50-60mph ish. But now I've noticed it when I'm high revving in third under load. My initial thought is a fuel pump? Anyone have any ideas? At first I thought it was just because my car is stripped that I could hear it, but now it's started doing it in third (only high revving) I'm thinking it might be the pump on its way out or something. E36 318Is Diff
I don't hang about mate ;). Truth is I have been scouring forums for ages and couldn't find out, local breakers wanted £72 a guy on eBay wanted £100. A few hours after I posted on here my mate sent me a link to one he found, made an offer and got it for £55 delivered :).

E36 318Is Diff
Hi all, As the title says I'm after an E36 318is diff I believe it's a 3.45 ratio. Doesn't matter if it's open or welded as I'll be welding it up myself if it is open. Cheers.

Wheels Arch Roller
Ok, we'll let us know how you get on mate.

Wheels Arch Roller
Have you got any metal bar, even like a trolley jack bar? Just lower the car down on it to however much you want.
-
Wheels Arch Roller
Haha, my friend jacked his car up and put a trolley jack handle between the tyre and arch, then let it down to roll his. One thing to make sure you remember is get a heat gun or something to warm up the paint or it will crack and flake, it did on my friends car.

Wheels Arch Roller
I don't know of anyone with one I'm afraid. But you can get them cheap enough of eBay and then just sell it on after for near enough the same price. Should be ok if your stuck and need it done. Maybe do some of your mates cars as we'll and make yourself a little extra cash ;).

4 Tyres For Bmw ??mis Sold And Fitted Advice Please
I no one of my friends had trouble with runs flats and their insurance company once. Because the car was standard with run flats from new they had to always out run flats on or it voided the insurance for some strange reason. So do a bit of research to find out if they are standard. Also a agree with Dabsy, not a fan at all of run flats.

E36 Angel Eyes
Personally I'm not a fan of angle eyes on the E36 IMHO. I opened mine up and took the glass lens out of the normal headlight side then lamin-x'd the main beam lens orange. Them fitted some HID's (no I'm not one of those guys with HID's pointing up in the air to blind everyone else on the road lol).
