  1. OK just found this Must admit I am not as keen in the interior colour but should I stear clear of a BMW not from a BMW dealer???
  2. hi all I currently have a 2010 318i business edition. and been looking at a 2011 520d today. The 520d is beautiful and seems to come with a lot more equipment as standard. I am a bit confused with exactly what it comes with. It is a 60 plate registered in Feb 2011, 40,000miles and costs £17990 (I assume the higher mileage has dropped the price a little) It has leather seats front/rear parking assist idrive (no satnav) all i could see/remember is there any way to find out what actually comes with it as standard without the VIN number? I was wondering about start/stop, xenon headlights, etc etc I have looked at the new 5 series as I would have assumed the standard kit was still the same but it always confuses me there as it seems that new 520 SE has Nav, heads up display and can see no upgrade option for Xenons so was assuming they were standard now. Also should i be asking for anything extra with the sale? if so what? Oh it has a service pack until 2016 included as well. Please help as if i get this i want to move quickly. pic taken on my phone.
  3. Mine was a 4.4L V8 sport so i think 15mpg is probably about the norm.
  4. When I had my 4.4. V8 Sport, I was getting about 15-17mpg on average. The most fun I have ever had driving, man was it fast.
  5. Cheers Jack. not worth upgrading from 2010 to the latest then.
  6. Hi, my first 3 series should be arriving next week, a black 2010 318i SE Business Edition. Had to get rid of my 2001 X5 4.4 due to a few problems that were not worth repairing. Not really sure what extras the BE gives but she is black with black leather interior and SATNAV. Heard bad things about the BMW SATNAV, is it really that bad or is it overhyped scare mongering? Either way is it worth getting an upgraded map disk or will 2010 be sufficient? Is there anything I need to be aware of with this particular model? Looking forward to getting her and enjoying my driving again.
  7. Cheers for the warm welcome all.
  8. cheers for the advice, does anyone have any suggestions?
  9. getting about 18mpg in an X5
  10. I have a 2001 (Y) BMW X5 4.4 V8 (assume this is an E53). It has the factory fit cassette deck with 6 disk CD changer in the boot. However I would like to upgrade the head unit to something that will allow BT connectivity for phone. Sat Nav is not essential but would be useful dependent on price. I am a total noob here so I have no idea what would be the best option to go for. I have seen the item below on ebay but I am always suspicious of ebay. with SatNav http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ETO-Autoradio-GPS-Stereo-Satnav-for-BMW-5-series-X5-E39-E53-M5-Android-3G-Wifi-/221156758715?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item337df854bb or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3G-INTERNET-car-DVD-GPS-sat-nav-PIP-IPOD-Bluetooth-stereo-for-BMW-E39-E53-X5-E38-/320928264183?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item4ab8d0aff7
  11. Bought my first BMW about 3 months ago. An immaculate 2001 X5 4.4i V8 in Blue. Absolutely love the car even with the poor mpg. 61,000 miles on with a 12 months warranty.
