  1. How erratic is it? If its wild. For example "hunting" or nearly stalling, it will be a vacuum leak.
  2. What year is the X5? Try holding down your lock button for a couple of seconds when you lock it. Most newer BM's have full closure on the windows, and this sometimes applies to the mirrors as well. Don't reverse this though when unlocking as your mirrors might unfold, but all of your windows will go down as well!
  3. I will add however, that none of those decisions have directly affected my way of life (that I have noticed! And I wouldn't know any difference!) Hence why I'm sitting on the fence a touch. I have no doubt that there was/is a level if hatred. But celebrating a death as left wingers have been? I think it's a disrespectful to be perfectly honest for someone who was doing a job rather than for any personal gain.
  4. There was a very interesting divide that was crated. No doubt. Did those decisions need to be made? Who knows. I so know however that the Belgrano even though it was travelling away from the Falklamds, was heading direct at a fleet of British subs. The fact if of the matter is this; I am not informed enough to cast an opinion, so I'm going to sit on the fence. However she was long serving and re-elected; did she need to make waves; yep I would think so. Are we still felling the effect of some of those decisions, defiantly. What would we give to have someone with a backbone now? Everything. Just my view.
  5. Add to this Facebook is the work of complete evil (generally) and most bearly have a clue who she is, I just roll my eyes at most of it. Why I even have an account is totally beyond me.
  6. Personally, I would do some research on the Internet and make up your own mind. I was very young, but I do remember her, and some of the decisions that she made. Problem being the media being what it is, censorship, and being right wing, means you don't really get a proper flavour. However; significant events include; -Taking us to war with Argentina. Promptly kicking them out of the Falklands in a couple of weeks (This was early on in power, and was a decisive "Don't mess with me attitude" -Took on the unions (Very powerful) and won. -Introduced PACE (police and criminal evidence act) in 1984, completely changed the police powers. Whom are still governed by this today. Another very smart move. -Survived an assassination attempt in '86 I think it was, when the IRA tried to blow her up at the grand hotel in Brighton. As stated, I was a little to young to actually form a true political opinion, however I know she had some very key decisions to make. Right or wrong, she will always be remembered.
  7. Ah I see, well I want to move back really, but don't fancy the M1 or A5 for a commute.
  8. Hello, Gary living in Northampton. But I'm originally from Luton, Beds. I'm a Bedfordshire lad through and through!
  9. Teddy - Northamptonshire. I think I will fall into this region?
  10. You can tell a lot by a country by the standard of its road network. It's not just the UK that is suffering. Many of the previously excellent European roads are also showing an alarming amount of wear. I have just come back to the UK after two weeks on holiday, I'm fully aware of the weather conditions whilst I have been away. The roads locally to me anyway, are in a rather sorry state, and although our local council are actually quite good at maintaining them, I do ponder how long it will take to repair the majority and what do they prioritise. I think that in the cold light of things like anything else, budget cuts will ultimately force their hands.
  11. Thank you all. I'll have a look at the region. I take it I fall into the SE region?
  12. Hello all, New member here, from Northampton with my first BMW. I was a keen VW enthusiast, for many years, however, I have had a BMW itch which I really needed to strach. I have been driving BMW's at work for some time, so I knew how good they were, many friends had switched to BMW's over the years, and commented are there personal experiences which were good. I needed a new car, and I wanted an estate (touring) to fit my lifestyle (Moutain biking, dogs, etc....) so a good time to strach that itch. I had a very specific criteria after doing my research, to cut a long story short, I wanted an E91 320d M Sport. After travelling quite some distance to look as cars which were not as described, I managed to find exactly what I wanted only 30 miles away in Peterborough. 2006, Sparkling Graphite Grey, 320d M Sport. Everything as described, all checked out, and got it for a good price. I have owned it for around two months, and what a difference to my old VW's. I can't see myself having anything else anytime soon. I look forward to speaking with you all in turn. Excuse the horrible iphone pictures. Messing around with the DSLR
