A shot in the dark here mate, as I dont got a clue about mechanics at all.. But is it true that oil gets into the water with blown gasket? Check your water for murkiness?? Need this comfirming though mate

Take they tow bar 'socket' on the car apart and check the connections in there are ok. I have fitted tons of these on vans/trucks. been out to repair lots too, usually wires have worked loose or rust has gotten in there. Other than that, it may need reprograming at the dealers? I'll keep thinking though, im not a fan of going back to the dealer lol
