the harness should come out and you should have easy access to the back, guessing its a pin or wire in the iso connector into the unit.......if not its going to be a bit of a search of your wiring im afraid

Check all your ground cables, start at the back of the head unit...

is this an after market stereo? and do you have an amp?

Ive never owned a diesel but the ones i have driven havent impressed me tbh...... It has to be petrol for me every time :)

you can diy wheel bearings but if your not confident send it to a trained mechanic not necessarily bmw
