  1. also try looking on piston heads, they a goood for sale section, also ebay is a good place but after me and mikes 535d/530d mtech sport with all the goodies sales pitches, we expect to hear from you soon witha nice shiny 5 series (also i had a black one, think mikes is by the looks of his photo, with the mtech sport bodykit it was one mean looking car and mid range acceleration was unbeleivable and the best thing was it still returned 40-45+ mpg) have to say the best BMW i Owned and i have owned quite a few
  2. Good catch there mike , almost forgot about the gadgets....need all the gadgets
  3. welcome mate, waas having a look at one of those myself ( fancied a V8) but then i found my 728i sport and it was love at first site,
  4. gotta say its one of them cars ( or my 728 sport is) that when you get to the end ofyour journey you justwant to keep going...as for the gearbox issue im not sure, i will have mine checked when it has its mot and service in the next month...other than that check out that website link i put up as that guy seems to know everything.
  5. my car is parked on the hard standing in our back garden, my wife asked me to park it inthe street so if its sunny she could get her sun lounger out....solution...sun lounger in the street car stays where it is... no one puts baby in the corner
  6. zimmer frame with a V8, now that would be something...gonnna start the designs now ...LOL
  7. My favourite driving song is by THE WHO and its called WHO ARE YOU, does that make it easier
  8. you cant step down Al, as i would have no one to follow in the count 5000 thing and would get totally confuckled
  9. Nope Ian your not, when it comes to cars the bigger the engine, the more cylinders, the more power far out ways the green thing.....what these anti car pollutant people need is to come and listen to a proper v8 revving.....that will convert anyone.....

welcome mate, thre is a website called how may left or something like that and it tells you how many of whatever type of car you search for are left, also check out lassic car magazine as that usuallly has a section in the back on all classics with what they are worth...
  13. Welcome mate, would have to agree with mike above, i had a 330ci cov sport, which was a lovely car but then i traded it for a 530d mtech sport and have to say what a car, the 530d comfort was much better, the power was awesome, it was far superior to the 330, but if you do go for a 530d go for the sport as the bodykit makes it look far better.

  17. could it be a MAF sensor... sorry i have an obsession about these after getting thru 4 of em in 3 months on my old van....
  18. http://www.meeknet.co.uk/E38/Index.htm Try this site this seems to be the man that knows and where i got all my info off. he seems to know everything 7 series
  19. apparently according to a site i use quite alot, i will try a post the link, there are not to many true sports, but people have some of the options ie steering wheel and alloys and then they call them a sport..likely i have a true Sport ( more luck than judgement). the difference is on a true sport is it has a high stall speed torque convertor and a lower ratio differential. And apparently to identify a real sport : M-parallel 18" alloys Shadowline/ body colour exterior ( presume de chromed) M steering wheel Sports suspension Sports seats And the real give away is only the sport was fitted with Anthracite ( black headlining) Basically they handle better, although the ride is a bit harder and are slighlty quicker and more revvy Also it should say sport on the log book but apparrently this isnt always right, but the headlining is the big give away and thre ride of the car. So there is a diffference in the cars but i think speed wise its about half a sec quicker 0-60 and slightly more top end. Would never guess i read all this, this is my own work...lol
  20. think it must happen to all of us, got te 7 series now and everything has to be original, no exhaust upgrades or bigger alloys, even put myself off buying carbon replacement badges for bonnet, wheels etc and just went for std....gotta be an age thing...LOL
  21. 677 :) :P :D
