hello K44y, yeah thats my 7 series, really does stand out in its colour ( steel Blue) not seen another one like it, but she is immaculate, thats why i bought her, one for the colour and 2 for the condition...She is a 728i Sport, 2001 ( basically 8 months later and she would have been the new shape) plus has all the toys, TV, Sat Nav, electric everything, full BMW service history and came witha folder full of all receiepts, MOTS etc from when she was new.....plus only done 120,000 so well pleased with her...But thanks for liking her, i have always wanted a 7 series, as in the past had plenty of 3 series and 5 series but i also have loved this shape of the 7 series and think it is the best that bmw made....but cheers again mate.

welcome mate, agree with Gav, if done properly should have no probs .... but recomend a stage 0 tune first ie k& n performance air filter, full service, even to the point if needed new plug leads etc.... in other words make sure she is running perfect before remap...i have a V70R and i did everything including dizzy cap, plug leads, stainless performance exhaust, k&N cone filter kit, then i had her re mapped, think the last time i checked she is doing 0 to 60 in nigh on bang 5 secs and the mid range is awesome, top end 165mph> hwats great about her is she looks like an old Volvo Estate (1997) but it has Volvo full Rally spec ( Hence the R) that they won the BTCC in, Basiclly a 2.4 5 cyl with a !Removed! great Turbo ( same as the Evos i think) and has hammered quite a few m3 s, etc .....Any way Re-map a good idea ..Lol

no probs mate, plus i am still a member of the Volvo performance club as i still have the V70R but dont go on there much now but might have to soon as need to sell the V70r and have a few issues that need addressing first and it is a great place for help...

i like christians idea of a v8 lawn mower, never would be an argument with the missus then to mow the lawn....

I know its not 100% accurate because they go by whats on record at the dvla, that is either taxed or sorned. and obviously there is a few cars out there that is niether so not on record but still gives a good idea, but classic car magazine has a good guide in the back on all classics with price guides

also try looking on piston heads, they a goood for sale section, also ebay is a good place but after me and mikes 535d/530d mtech sport with all the goodies sales pitches, we expect to hear from you soon witha nice shiny 5 series (also i had a black one, think mikes is by the looks of his photo, with the mtech sport bodykit it was one mean looking car and mid range acceleration was unbeleivable and the best thing was it still returned 40-45+ mpg) have to say the best BMW i Owned and i have owned quite a few

welcome mate, waas having a look at one of those myself ( fancied a V8) but then i found my 728i sport and it was love at first site,

gotta say its one of them cars ( or my 728 sport is) that when you get to the end ofyour journey you justwant to keep going...as for the gearbox issue im not sure, i will have mine checked when it has its mot and service in the next month...other than that check out that website link i put up as that guy seems to know everything.

Nope Ian your not, when it comes to cars the bigger the engine, the more cylinders, the more power far out ways the green thing.....what these anti car pollutant people need is to come and listen to a proper v8 revving.....that will convert anyone.....
