X5 Starting Problems
bit of a wierd one to me this. must be a dodgy sensor somewere. i take it bmw plugged it into there diagnostic machine? if its saying its one problem it could be just the start and you end up going thru everything that one thing does until the problem is fixed, if you get me.

WAS saying BYE BYE!! now saying HI HI
you read the title right, after only a few months of owning a nice E46 318i im going to be selling her, the reason is it was going to be the nice family car for when i get my license back next march (not banned, got suspended for a year for health reasons) but the mrs has been having lessons and got herself a little 1999 VW polo <---still german :D so why am i selling the beemer, well after about 2-3 years of thinking about setting up on my own as a detailer /valeter im going to be getting a van to start up for when i get my license back see how that goes as mobile then look into getting my own premises. i was sort of still am a mobile body repairer so use to working out doors but the valeting side of it is something i prefer so decided lifes to short and im going for it. going to be looking for a vauxhall astra which needs a new engine and my mate who is a vaux tech will be putting a new engine in for me. already got some one working on the graphics for it ive also been doing the work looking into insurance issues etc so evan though i never evan got to drive my bmw apart from private car parks im going to be sad to see it go

X5 Starting Problems
sounds like the same problem with mine at the moment , figured it could be the thermostat. mine starts fine as normal, but the temp gauge goes into the red then into the cold an keeps doing it, if you stop the car with it in hot are cold it struggles to start. if you stop it when the gauge is in the middle it starts perfectly fine. hopefully some one else may no more either way let us no how you get on

they really are fantastic cars, not for off road use but they dont really make them for that now! my dads is the 3.0 diesal, i was surprised at how much pull it has for a big automatic car it has, overtaking is no problem at all and it feels nicly planted for corners to! id have one :D
