same thing fella Mass Air Flow a little google search shows you can actually clean them with carb cleaner, also says brake cleaner!, id prob go with carb cleaner. just spray some in while running the engine. also says if you have a dirty MAF sensor they can be the syptoms described by the OP. -

i only got my own john as i didnt get enough people going for the ten to save a few quid. so its easier for me now if every one just gets there own. didnt think it would be that hard to get the ten but obviosly it is :angry: cheers for getting involved though and il refund your money in a minute. the club stand is still going ahead as of now though. B)

my tickets have just come in the post!!! did any one else get theres booked? shame we couldnt get the ten needed for the group buy :angry: il start off a fresh list for people who are defo having there car on the stand soon.

not 100% but could be the MAF sensor. gives the correct air into the engine i think. not enough air to fuel the car will do this. could be wrong but its a commen thing to go wrong

ive heard its best not to gav if you have more than 100k on your car. a true pro tuner will give good advice though, ask around whose best ive heard AMD i think it is are ment to be good

hope not! i get trade prices anyway and lee my mate will fit it for beer tokens, are a good detail on his car :lol: hopefully it wont cost $$ though

being a diesal your going to get a nice bit of extra torque, bhp will go up to. i believe sometimes you can get better MPG to!

spark plugs all done :D then while doing that the postman turns up with not only my docs for insurance but also my 6000k headlight bulbs. all four of them :lol: one of them has blown so it would be rude not to change them all :P

welcome to the club insurance is a bit hit and miss these days we have a insurance company on here , but they dont qoute in certain areas and you have to have driven a rear wheel drive car for at least a year! try the supermarkets and shop around B)

little update just got some new spark plugs, gave my mechanic mate a tenner thinking they will be the usual £2.50 a plug, phones me at lunch time alrite lad, only spark plugs they do for yours are £35!! NGKs , erm , sod it then yeah get them :lol: joys of the bimmer

doesnt sound right to me. cars will use oil but not that much! have you checked the sump isnt leaking, are anywere else? stick some cardboard under the car at night see how much is dropping down, might be worth taking the plastic cover off for this though. welcome to the forum to :)

prob best to get a chip. turbos your prob talking at least 3k+ its not just a case of throwing one on your car and away yer go. fuel/air mixture changes, ecu needs programming, cooling system etc look into getting a exhaust, air filter and a chip. may get a few horses for that
