  1. Hi Tony....welcome to the Club If all of the lights are not working then it does suggest a power feed to them is not there, so your diagnosis of a fuse could be correct or alternatively it may be possible that the rheostat to alter the dimming could be at fault Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  2. sounds like a good outcome so far keep us updated with the mods and be good to see some pics of the build
  3. Accept there will be some movement with a lumpy diesel but excessive would be if when you take up the clutch to biting point and drop off again if the gear shift is seen to be moving backwards and forwards more than a couple of centimetres then I would be worried.
  4. Hi Nick...welcome to the Club I would definitely get the car into a garage to check the gearbox mounts as excessive movement could indicate a broken or heavily worn mount.....better to be on the safe side! Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
  5. Hi Steve...welcome to the Club Ouch!!! I would definitely use a Boroscope to look down into the cylinders to see if there is any remains of the valves in there. Alternatively, someone may have removed the other three and struggled to remove the fourth so left it there....being optimistic here! Keep us updated on what you find Cheers, Trevor
  6. Hi Jay.....welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  7. Hi Will....welcome to the Club I would definitely bring it back when you return as it sounds like a superb car....2.8 and coupe! 1. my Z3 diff has always sounded a bit whiny but has always done that....you could rebuild it with new bearings, etc. 2. Sounds like a dynamic wheel imbalance....get the wheels balanced at any tyre bay. 3. Springs and Dampers are very cheap through GSF or Eurocarparts....would also recommend new suspension bushes as well. 4. GSF are pretty good at supplying quality parts at cheap prices (look out for regular discount codes online) Keep us updated on how its progressing and would love to see a photo or two Cheers, Trevor
  8. Should be alright to drive through long grass but the trouble is that you can't see what's below the grass (holes, uneven ground, etc) Best bet would be to follow someone with a low car in and see where they go....if they lose their spoiler then don't follow them! 🙂
