  1. I sraped my rear bumper but ots deeper than just paint damage. :( Im thinking just buy a 2006 titanium silver rear bumper and stick it on....for simplicity i think its gonna cost at least £100 at a body shop and it will cost that for a bumper anyway. Any thoughts ?? Andy
  2. Follow this link and part number 12 is what i need. Anyone know of a UK supplier? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=VC32&mospid=48480&btnr=51_5847&hg=51&fg=65 Thanks Andy
  3. Mine locks too but won't arm I.e lights flashing
  4. I accidentally hit the boot lid button and stood for about 5 mins trying to figure out why it wouldn't lock lol :-o
  5. Mine seems to think its hard as nails too but I live in a kinda rough area so it's likely to get ganged up on lol
  6. When I had my focus and I forgot to lock the doors the car would get scared and lock itself after 10 mins of no interaction. Is there a setting on the 06 e90 to turn this on? I have realised I'm more forgetful than I thought. Cheers Andy
  7. Auxiliary belt and ac belt? Cost for parts? I have a mate who is a mechanic so will get it done considerably cheaper than Beemer garage
  8. My miles are just about to tick over to 70k I have done about 5k in it since getting it in late June so I think I'll be about an average miler I'm not a mad driver. Most of my miles are not motorway but are mainly city roads. It's a 320D.
  9. Just a quick question on the life expectancy of the consumable parts on the e90. Suspension, brakes and engine belts Thanks Andy
  10. Dont get me wrong dabs and please dont think im havin a dig, im really not i appreciate your opinion. Its like anything all opinion based and all that. I feel that if i took a sealant tyre to a kwik fit or what ever they will turn round and want more for tyre removal? Plus if i use it its will be £20 odd to replace the sealer can so the tyres would be sealer can without the inconvenience of having to use the sealer. so its £20 your gonna spend what ever way you look at it. Sealer = £20 RFT = £20 - inconvenience I dont want to be havin the extra crap in my boot in the shape of a spare wheel especially as there is nowhere to put it. i have never used either and have always have had a spare but with no place to keep a spare this is where the question pops up. Cheers mate Andy
  11. Sorry but without space for a wheel and im not just chucking one in the boot thats what it shall be lol :) Its only £20 difference a corner for like tyres
  12. i have a diesel. (320D) I had a 2.0 ST 170 before Fuel economy? Well I got around 270-300 miles in the focus on a 55 litre tank (£65). I now get 550 miles on a 63 (£85) litre tank. i get around the same HP the focus being 163 (not the 170 you would think) the BM i believe is 160 or thereabouts. It has a turbo and can be tuned to 190 odd BHP with similar gains in torque (this in for is taken for a tuning website) The BM is £155 for a years tax VS £260 for the ST So i would say HP for HP the 2.0 TD wins it big time. I actually wonder if how i would have went with the 330D
  13. also look at this picture: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-2009-E92-INTERIOR-BOOT-FLOOR-CARPET-/320775174456?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aafb0b938 On there is a black handle for lifting the carpet to get to whats underneath. Mine does not have the handle trawled the Internet in what seems to be all the wrong places i aint finding them :(
  14. i wouldnt use the sealant to be honest mate like you say plus it would be a PITA to get off? Long term im gonna get the run flats back on it £89 delivered for a continental. but need 4 so about £400 fitted lol. its just a handy kit to have even if its just to blow up the tyre.
  15. I have a puncture kit provided by arnold clark that site inside the recess under the boot floor this does not correctly fit in the well and as a result takes up way more room in there than it should. i have seen one for £40 from a mini, are the kits the same throughout the full range? The kit i have has the compressor and sealer etc. is it worth just binning the box and wrap the current stuff in bubble wrap to stop em rattling about?
  16. Today. My fuel gauge read 14 miles i forgot to pick up the wallet. So i took the mrs to work drove back and then went to the gym. It then read 4 miles. I turned out of the gym and after 100 metres read ---- (OH NO!!!) i drove approx 2-3 miles to my cheapest diesel station on ---- fuel. Anyone else played fuel gauge chicken and won? If so how many miles and as a rule of thumb how many miles do you get after the readout says 0 do you get? I know i shouldnt get that far in the first place. Good info to know i guess.
  17. Folks, How much for an E90 Main head lamp? Are they easy to fit? Andy
  18. i have driven without the key in the hole but i had it on me. You suggest an interesting experiment though lol

  20. Can they be fitted easily to a non electric set? I would imagine that all the wiring is there (as it would make good production sense to have one wiring setup for all beemers and use what you need)so would it be a case of buy and stick em on? It would be a nice feature to have as i like to fold in my mirrors especially at the weekend as i dont exactly live in a leafy suburb if you get my meaning.
  21. I sat in the car gave my mate the fob and he walked across the road (at least 3 car widths away) the car was still running lol
  22. One step ahead of you already tried it.........IT WORKS lol
  23. TBH i dont know but i think the steering lock kicks in after i open the door without the fob in the dash
