Thanks for the replies guys, so does anyone have any numbers to back up the remap route ? as in a quick remap from one of hundreds on line promise 30% more torque etc ?

looking on the emaps site i think your car could go from 231bhp to 271bhp

my 330d has been mapped from 184bhp to 230bhp.well thats what the bloke i bought it off told me anyway

BEST thing you can do to a 330d is a remap all day. Bigger turbo comes complication and requires a lot of time, effort and money.

Mart's figures sound about right

disappointing news , methinks , i was hoping to buy a 530d as i have heard they have the potential of great torque figures plus ? I'm currently running a saab 2l with a few mods @ 280 bhp and around 400Nm torque so used to a good powerful car. Word is though theres a whole lot more torque from a diesel engine, and more displacement means more power ? Any thoughts ?

Yeah, the way diesel motors work naturally gives it more torque. The 530d does not lack power, owww no BUT.. at the end of the day it is a diesel so expect a diesel lol with that in mind, it's not slow

I personally do not see the 530d as a "Turbo" vehicle. I don't see any diesel car as a turbo vehicle. I believe them to be a mandatory part of the engine that without it, it's practically useless.

More displacement typically means more power in any internal combustion engine, diesel or petrol. The 530d (E60 chassis) is a 3Ltr so no complaints in that department in my opinion B)

Really is a lovely car mate. Very desired model

Mogwai comes with great wisponsibiwity, never get them wet, never expose them to sunlight and NEVER feed them after midnight... !
