What the hell does the P/N-1318365969 Auto-Manual-SWITCH-EH-GEARBOX do?mine dont do anything...

BMW TIS does not detect the part number mate

Why? Where is it located and how do you know it does nothing?

Ah yeah, I had to install one of those an E32 735i. Basically, It does work but you most likely wont feel much of a difference until you floor it. It's like a Sport/Economy switch.

In your case, the " * " basically means Winter Mode so she'll always pull of in 2nd to find traction

The " A " I assume is just, automatic
