Just bought my first (Modern) mini after retiring from the classic car beige club!

I have an 07 Cooper S Convertible and want to know if/how the hood can be maintained/cleaned etc

    Maintain the roof like you would any other fold-able roof. A quite google search shall reveal a lot more than what I can state here ^_^

    Welcome to the club, loads of different cleaners/conditioners available. I have personally tried turtle wax which was OK, mequires which was not very good, i now wash with soapy water and seal with fabsil (brush on tent waterproofer) available from Halfords. Occasionally spray the mechanical bits with GT85 again from halfords (bike section)

    Welcome, Enjoy the Cooper S, I cannot answer for Beemers, but I have a C70 convertible, and I use the hood cleaner from Volvo main dealer, approx £35, enjoy the forum

    Thanks for all the replies, now the important bit........ can any of you reccomend how i can get my wife to apply the cleaner and conditioner?
