Seems to be a common fault with the FSR, mine went the day I was picking the car up (stroke of luck for me) It took one of the service guys about 10 mins to change he said it was fiddly not hard.

He removed the carpet trim in the drivers footwell, the FSR is right at the back behind the heater. He un-clipped it removed the plug and put the new one in. The new one was a different design (I am assuming an upgrade) all has been well since.
