Cold Start Problem

Hi Fellas,

The first bit of cold weather and my '94 320i wouldnt start, the little bugger! After hanging on to the key for ages it eventually did but idled very badly. When it warmed up everything was OK. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers.

Petrols don't have glow plugs

Get diagnostics to read the OBD and see what faults come back. Might be a temp sensor that's fried.

Yea ive got someone coming next week to read the codes. Cheers

      Suspension upgrade

      Hello all. I have a 2019 M Sport+ 440i. I am looking for suggestions to upgrade the suspension. I do not want it lower or stiffer. I am looking for more control, predictability and less harshness. At under 20k miles, there are no faults with the factory suspension, I believe it could be better. I don't drive the car hard, its more like fast touring. I am aware of the Bilstein system that Birds BMW have developed, does anyone have experience of this system? Any alternative suggestions would be appreciated.

      Morning Rob Welcome to the Forum As with most cars in reasonable condition and with an MOT it is worth the market value, check the Auction sites and local adds. Without an MOT it is scrap value as it can't be driven some recyclers may even charge to collect it. Reading your post it seems like you have already made a decision. Personally I would fix it and sell it or maybe carry on using it but then I do all my own maintenance on our cars and its a hobby not a chore Dave

      Morning Joe Not sure about "nothing urgent" one can stop the car starting at all, and the other could indicate overheating that could end in a broken engine !!! Dave

      Morning Clifford Welcome to the Forum If you are not aware take a look at www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box, it will bring up your model then look in the Exhaust section The only part I am aware of BMW call a "fixing Bow" it goes on the rear silencer flap actuator assembly Good luck Dave
