Changed the buttons on my alarm key the three button type and didnt realise that i had to unlock the car first

so used the key in the lock and manually opened the car, the alarm started until i turned on the ignition then it stopped.

now i cant seem to program the key in the normal way!

in the manual it said if i use the key to get in and try to programme it then it will "lock out the remote function"

can i manually reset the alarm to enable me to use the remote again?

its a three button key and a 1995 e36 320i se

thanks all

Yes, has to be done inside the car... close the doors read the instructions once more (Carefully)... If successful, the locks will mess around... Reply if this doesn't work !

Seems you deactivated the dead-locks !!
