Electric Water Pump 2006 325I

hi everyone, back on to let you all know how i got on with the renewing of my electric water pump and thermostat. To be completely honest it was a relatively straight forward job, a bit fiddely in places but then i did not have full access to the underside of the car. my car was parked up on the pavement with the body jacked up slightly for a little more clearance. completed the job in two and a half hours, with bleeding and topping the system up. i would say that any competent diy mechanic could attempt this job, BMW have some nice water hose connection solutions, easy to detach and refit, others are just run of the mill hose clips. Euro car parts were my choice of part suppliers and I was surprised by the ammount of savings on each of the parts i ordered. it is recomended that you fit the new water pump with new aluminium mounting bolts (wich Euro car parts supplied) because of the magnesium engine block of the N52 engine. All in all a satisfying job to do and done with one flat blade screwdriver and a quarter drive socket set. the beast is now purring along the road with no overheating problems. SUPERB.
