I realise this is rather a petty question. lol. I require a new battery in my key fob. Do I have to take it to BMW. I have tried a couple of places & they can't figure it out. Thanks.

The battery eventually loses it's ability to charge therefore a change is needed.

Swap it in record-time and the module will still "see" it lol ;)

(Be aware that some fobs adopt a small capacitor to hold charge (rare though))
