Alloy Wheel Problem

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've just picked up a new set of alloys from Ebay, BMW type 18 (as on http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/) .

Everything suggests they should fit my e39 528i and yet...the bore on the alloy is about 2mm too small to fit on the hub :(

There seems to be a "lip" or on the hub side of the alloy that reduces the opening bore hole by a couple of mm, do you think it could be machined / chiselled off? (see photo)

Or should I just put them back on ebay?

Thanks all

16 inch. NEarly new tyres and virtually unmarked alloys, so I'd like to keep them, preferably. Where could I get them machined? DO you know roughly how expensive it wouldld be?
