Hi all, Im sorry if this topic has been covered before so please be gentle with me. What exactly is a swirl flap? I've heard they can damage the engine.Does this apply to all the engines? Can anyone give me an idiots guide please?

It applying to u 320d

They are flaps in your inlet manifold that open when your car is idle but running.

They can break free and suck into your engine practically writing it off, trust me, I have first hand experience of this.

Get them removed ASAP dude
