Hi, i own a 1988 320i and was wondering if the 325i, ICV would run fine on mine??

Very unusual. The M20B20 does not come with one. MY engine is the same as yours but was built one year before yours. Maybe this is the reason I dont have one but you do. Go to realOEM.com and put in the information EXACTLY to your car and find out what the part number is then cross match it with the one from the 325i.

Why would my E28 M20 not have one and the E30 M20 which is the EXACT same engine, have one? Seems odd to me and doesn't make sense

BTW, that ICV pic is identical to the ones fitted to VW's in the late 80's - mid 90's !!
