Been and looked at a 1 today.

Having around 8k to spend, the wife decided on a 1. Which I was happy with until I got in one.

Cheap pieces of crap, i looked at a 118d, 120d and a 120i M sport, what has gone wrong with BMW?

She could have a Fiesta ST, Saab 9-3, E46, anything, and they all seem better build quality.

She is determine to have a 1, but I feel that we will be paying for the BMW name.

My 2003 e46 SE seems 100% better build quality.

Also took a peek at a 320d 2008 plate, and TBH, mine has done 117k and if someone wanted to swap me for a 2008 plate with 60k on, I'd refuse.

Terrible cars, creaky, squeaky pieces of poo..

Dissapointed BMW..

Anyone else with a later model feel the same?

    I have driven many new BMW's and I have to agree with GAV (For a change) they are cheaply made and do not reflect the BMW marque...

    what you have to remember is untill recent years BMW was a luxury car and aimed at the top end of the car market

    they dident have to try make cars in the focus / cheap to run price range its the same with mec sit in an a class and you could be in a cleo or saxo

    you cant make a silk purse out of a pigs ear !!!!!!!!!!!
