Hi, basically I'm lookin for tips on where to get decent insurance quotes from. I'm 21 an have just brought my first BMW 318i SE but can't find anywhere that will insure the vehicle for a decent figure. Any help would be great!!

Try comparison sites, AA, RAC, Tesco Asda, etc and google for for cheap insurance companies, good luck. :D

have you tried adrian flux?

be creful of tesco and supermarket insurance.. they seem cheap but they hammer you on the excess, both compulsory and voluntary.. it's not what it seems

Was only giving suggestions, like all things, read all the paperwork and the SMALL PRINT, goes without saying

Don't know if it still applies as this is an oldish post.. But I'm 20 with three years no claims plus an incident and Admiral worked for me :)

Any feedback is good, as always helps other members, I have found different insurance

companies give different quotes, even if you have been with an insurance company for a

couple of years, buy a less powerful car and the quote is worse than your last car. :D

Saying that though I've been completely stung. Without my incident my insurance is £600 cheaper than with it! This so called incident involved some snobby woman hitting my car on a roundabout and yet I'm being punished! No pay outs, no years no claims lost.. So what the hell?! Pointless having it in my opinion..

I feel sorry for young drivers today, insurance companies really penalise them, when I hear they get hit £1000 + for something like a Saxo

I think insurance companies need to sort out some new system, when I see programs like dangerous driving schools on TV

how did these people pass their test.

Sometimes if you tell insurance companies that you are in an owners club, they give you a discount, good luck

yer i feel sorry for young drivers too....if the premium is decent the excess is astronomical........moneysupermarket.com works for me and i know ecar used to specialise in young drivers but dont know if they still do...

i got a 328 e36 and cant get insurance without paying through the nose so got me missus to insure it as she has 6 yrs no claims and it cheap as chips now! just dont work out ????

we are with swift cover and they aint bad on prices

Well with my incident I was getting quotes around 2 grand.. Without my incident it sits at 700 which I'm happy to pay. Wouldn't mind so much if the accident was my fault!
