hi my x5 3.0 d is blowing oil out the dipstick when removed.had it to garage and option 1 is too change crankcase breather, flush , additive. 2 engine rebuild if this doesn,t stop the problem. can anyone help?

Yes you have a blockage, Greg...

Option 1 - Get those pipes off mate, clean them all, and maybe get a compression test too...

Is there any contamination in the oil/water ?

not sure about contamination. pipes? which ones. sorry i,m no mechanic but would appreciate any further advice.cheers...

At this point I would just remove the breather-pipes to see if there is any restriction in them...

SORTED!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEW CRANKCASE BREATHER,FULL SERVICE,FLUSH SEASONED DONE!!!!! RUNNING MINT NOW. THE GUYS AT MILL BMW SAID THE BREATHER SHOULD BE REPLACED AT 60K. MINE WAS WELL PAST IT. 96739K! PARTS £96 LABOUR £120 + MY DEALER STAMP. ;) CHEERS............................
