Only a fraction of ‘road taxes’ like road fund duty and fuel duty actually get spent on the roads. Most is added to the general taxation pot. Should this be stopped? If not what would you like to see it spent on?

Yes it should be stopped, road taxes should be spent on making a more durable road surface so that we do not get pot holes every year and council forking out on insurance claims from tax payers money. :D

I think road tax should go towards developing a road surface made of old tyres as these can't de disposed of just think how you would stuck to the road rubber in rubber !!

It should be regionally distributed for maintenance and new road projects using the actual postcode of where the vehicle is kept !

recently experienced the french roads and they are awsome, why can't we not have roads like the french motorways?

i think they should spend the extra monies on people that want to come over to britain from over seas who dont want to work and just sit on their arses claiming off us tax payers.............oh...they do :blink: :blink:
