I always drive with lights on...prob for same reason

It generally stops dicks pulling out on you and stops a lot of confusion by NOT flashing to let people out !

I've found that when a driver wants to pull out, they look at the driver... So a simple hand gesture works in that case...

It is the same principle used by bus companies !

I'll second that.

My lights are on all the time...I never flash.

If I let you out (I dont because I drive a BMW) I gesture by hand.

Thats the way it should be Gav... In the Highway Code, the flashing of headlights is a procedure to make other road-users AWARE that YOU are there, and THATS IT. B)

Especially if a French car is knocking about

There is a specific thread for the French car/Gav jokes ;)

But yes...

In the past I have flashed hello to a friend and then been cut up....

Flashing lights and horns should be kept as warnings.

But also, If you have right of way, take it, save causing confusion.

+1 Gav

How off topic has this gone lol :D

Not far at all Gav, this is what they push into our tiny "Amoeba" brains...

Leather or Cloth interior?... What do YOU prefer?

;)

It hasn't gone off-topic because thats the advice you get on the course !!!
